Version and build since 0.4#

At the top, next to the logo:

  • Version 0.5.0 – the version you have. A test version carries a word after it, like 0.6.0-beta.1.
  • Built 5 Oct 2026, 02:10, build 228 – when this copy was built and its build number. The build number grows with every build, so it tells apart two copies of the same version. Give it with any problem you report.
  • FX - the plugins on your desk's channels. IEM - the musicians' in-ear mixes.
  • On the right, WHAT'S NEW opens this version in the changelog on shadowrack.eu, and MANUAL opens these docs.

What the numbers mean, and which updates are safe right before a show: Versions and updates.

The report for support#

COPY puts these lines on the clipboard, plus two more at the top and bottom: Shadow Rack: Version 0.5.0 (built ..., build 228) and the version of JUCE, the library Shadow Rack is built on. The button reads COPIED for a moment.

  1. Click COPY.
  2. Paste it into your email to hello@shadowrack.eu.
  3. If Shadow Rack crashed, attach the newest crash note from the Crashes folder too (where files live).

The report holds nothing personal: no name, no licence, no file paths.

Credits#

  • 3D in-ear sound – the head-related responses Rack IEM places sources with come from the SADIE II database, University of York (a Neumann KU100 dummy head), under the Apache License 2.0. LICENCES shows the full licence text and what was changed for Shadow Rack.
  • Built with JUCE – the version is shown.
  • Trademarks – VST is Steinberg's; Behringer and WING belong to their owners. Shadow Rack is not made by them.

Keyboard shortcuts#

The card lists the shortcuts you use most, grouped as Session, Edit, Channels, Plugins, Show and View. It's the quick version; a few aren't on it:

  • space on the IEM layer's MIX page (3D against plain stereo / mono),
  • ⌘⌃F for full screen,
  • the second meaning of ⌘⇧D.

All of them, with when each one works: Keyboard shortcuts.
